Hiked this quick little 3.3 mile loop on Saturday. I actually started at the midway point on accident due to Google Maps taking me to the wrong parking area, but it was fine. I actually preferred it with how the trail went along and ended mostly with pines and a field if you go left and take the path clockwise when you start at Top O' The World. It was a pretty nice little loop, pretty mild for sights but great for relaxation with a couple stream crossings and a couple small elevation climbs. Most of the fungi had melted in the recent rain but the trail was mostly dry and not too slick. The rocks that were laid for the stream crossings were not slick but could have also been my grippy newish Vivo Barefoot Magna Lite hiking shoes. I was pretty excited to take those out since I bought them last year and haven't been able to use them anywhere yet. I'll admit, I did put an insole in them. The barefoot concept is interesting and I do like a minimal feel to my shoes but I need a little bit more than what these shoes have.
